He had called his wife to tell her he had been injured.....but downplayed it to not worry her.

She later found out........ his wound was about 3 mm away from being fatal!

After a good recovery, he is now on a leave for a little while to be with his family whom he has not seen since his son was born.

This is where my love and passion really comes into place for photography.

To be able to capture the love and sincere gratitude a father has for his son that he has not been able to hold in his arms for a half a year is such a gift to me!

I could see the outpouring love he had for his wife and the way he misses her when he is gone.

I loved every second with this family, and I was so grateful to be able to take their family pictures for them. Thank you so much for your sacrafice and service to our Country. Thank you to all those who serve. It takes great courage. May God be with you and your families.

While we were out of town over the New Year, I was able to do a mini session of my beautiful nieces. They are so sweet and I loved taking some pictures of them all together. Their blue eyes popped out in every single picture. I never touched their eyes in post editing!!
